The Child & Family Guidance Center.
When you let your friends & family know about your Mental Health Awareness Activity - and ask them to support your efforts, you will be helping children and teens continue to receive the mental healthcare they urgently need at The Child & Family Guidance Center.
Established by The World Mental Health Federation and recognized by The World Health Organization, World Mental Health Day on October 10th
celebrates awareness for the global community in an empathetic way, with a unifying voice, helping those feel hopeful by empowering them to take action and to create lasting change.
This year's World Mental Health Day theme is:
"Mental Health Promotion & Suicide Prevention."
Anxiety, depression and suicide rates have risen sharply in the last few years among young people.
That makes it all the more crucial that we raise awareness and secure our promise to children, no matter what their family's finances are.
This is the 2nd year The Child & Family Guidance Center has taken part in World Mental Health Day by launching a peer-to-peer awareness campaign that begins in September and runs through World Mental Health Day on October 10th.
Thanks to Local Business Good Neighbor Insuring Seniors for their new $1000 matching challenge, every dollar you donate until we reach $4,260 will be doubled! Support this campaign today to maximize your impact.
Thanks to a Matching Challenge Gift from the Turrell Fund for Children,
the first $1,500 dollars we raised has been doubled!
September is Suicide Prevention Month. Your Suicide Prevention awareness activities will make your Mental Health Awareness campaign that much more effective.
